How to apply

We hope that you've found this site comprehensive and persuasive, and that the information provided has enabled you to make an informed decision about your application. Before you apply, please ensure you have read the relevant role profile in detail.

Runnymede is being supported by Cadence Partners in this process. For a confidential and informal conversation, please contact our advisors at Cadence Partners by email: runnymede-trustees@cadencepartners.co.uk

If you require the candidate material in an alternative format or you’d like to submit your response in a different format – such as video or BSL – please get in touch and we can support you in doing this.

To apply, please submit the following to runnymede-trustees@cadencepartners.co.uk:

  • A comprehensive CV which demonstrates how you match the candidate profile.
  • In a separate document, please also answer the following three questions based on role-profile criteria (no more than 250 words per answer). In order to de-bias the evaluation process, we ask that you do not include any personal information* on this document.
  1. Understanding of and Commitment to Race Equity: Please describe your understanding of race equity and your commitment to advancing racial equality. How have you incorporated these principles into your professional or personal life, and how would you support Runnymede Trust's mission in this area?
  2. Understanding of Governance and Ability to Manage Risks: Provide an example of your experience with governance and risk management within an organisation. How did you contribute to ensuring compliance, accountability, and strategic oversight?
  3. Experience in External Representation and Revenue Diversification: Describe a time when you successfully represented an organisation externally, leading to new partnerships or opportunities. How did this contribute to diversifying income or enhancing the organisation's financial sustainability?
  • Our Diversity Monitoring Form (to be completed online) which helps us to capture important data for reporting purposes. This will not be viewed by those making decisions about your application.
  • A Board Declaration Form (to be completed online).

*In line with Cadence Partners’ mission to improve hiring decisions and minimise unconscious bias in recruitment processes, your responses will be viewed without any knowledge of your personal details. Whilst we are asking for your CV, this will only be reviewed by our team once all question responses have been sifted.
